DANIELSVILLE - Samuel Edward Shelton, 65, Danielsville, went home to be with Jesus on the morning of Friday, April 19, 2024, with his wife by his side.
Sam was born on May 18, 1958, to the late Etta Blackburn and Cecil Edward Shelton in Litchfield, Kentucky. He graduated from Campbell County High School in 1977. To provide for him and his family, Sam was willing to relocate to Florida and Michigan, then finally settled in Georgia in the early 1990’s. He always looked for better opportunities to improve their quality of life.
Sam was a Jack-of-all-trades, and master of many. He is known for his incredible work ethic and attention to detail. His musical talents were unparalleled. Within minutes he could accompany any tune you desired on both the piano and guitar. His beautiful voice is most certainly being joined with heavenly choirs today.
In addition to his parents, Sam is preceded in death by his sister, Twila Campbell.
Sam is survived by his wife, Sherry Shelton; sisters, Sally (Gary) Mitchell and Cindy Young; daughters, Jessica Searcy (John) and Alicia Spence (Jeremy); children by marriage, Clint Hill (Amber), Molly Hodges (Clayton) and Emily Hill (Jose); and eight grandchildren, Sophia Searcy, Carson Searcy, Ellyana Spence, Parker Spence, Jamison Spence, Aria Hill, Addelyn Hill and baby Hill.
