    Walter Fred Pruitt, 74, of Winder, died Monday, June 30, 2008.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Born in Greenville County, S.C., he was the son of the late Elmer and Inez Dawson Pruitt. He was retired from the U.S. Post Office, was a member of Galilee Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, and was a veteran, having served in the United States Army in Korea. Mr. Pruitt was preceded in death by a daughter, Fredda Ann Pruitt; brother, Robert Lewis Pruitt; and a sister, Mary Ann Patterson.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Survivors include his wife, Martha Stevenson Pruitt, Winder; a son, William Pruitt, Winder; daughter, Marie Victoria Pruitt Palmer, Daytona Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Bradley Dean Pruitt, William Matthew Palmer and William Walter Pruitt Jr.; brother, Benjamin Dean Thomas, Anderson, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 5, at 11 a.m., at Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Tolbert Moore officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens.&lt;br /&gt;

    William Thomas “Bill” Bryan III, 77, of Jefferson, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
He was born on September 19, 1930, in Clarke County, the son of the late William Thomas Bryan II and Frances Woodward Bryan and was retired from Texaco Oil Company, where he worked in accounting. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jefferson, a member of the Baraca Sunday School Class, and past president of the Senior Adult Group, and recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship award from the Lions Club International. He was past president and Tail Twister of the Jefferson Lions Club, Zone and Region Chairman of Lion Clubs International, and a little league baseball coach for 25 years. He was preceded in death by sons, Michael and Chip Bryan. Mr. Bryan was a veteran, having served in the United States Army during the Korean War.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Survivors include his wife, Jane Adams Bryan, Jefferson; sons and daughters-in-law, Jarrett “Jay” and Roxann Bryan, Westminister, S.C., William Thomas “Bo” Bryan IV and Tara Bryan, Acworth, Robert and Ellen Edwards, Fayetteville, Richard and Carol Edwards, McDonough; daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Brent McNair, Jonesboro, Rebecca and Sandy Gibbs, Winder; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 5, 2008, at 1 p.m., in the First Baptist Church of Jefferson with Dr. Cary Hilliard and the Rev. Richard Dickson officiating. Burial will be in Woodbine Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, July 4, at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Members of the Baraca Sunday School Class and Jefferson Lions Club will serve as honorary pallbearers.&lt;br /&gt;

    Christopher Brian Wylie, 32, of Homer, died Friday, June 27, 2008, following injuries sustained in an accident while driving his pick-up truck.&lt;br /&gt;

He was born in Gwinnett County on November 27, 1975, the son of Lynn Wylie. He was preceded in death by his dad, Gary Wylie; and grandfather, Ben Wylie. &lt;br /&gt;

He will be remembered as a devoted and loving son, father, husband and friend, loved ones stated. He was currently working as “Head Electrician” by Country Boy Satellites of Homer, was a Nascar racing and automobile fanatic, and enjoyed fishing and camping trips and evening gatherings with family and friends. He was well known for his Texas Pete Chicken Wings and other cooking creations.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Survivors in addition to his mother, include a daughter, Rebecca Wylie; former wife, Susan Wylie, Homer; father, Kenneth Larry, Sugar Hill; paternal grandmother, Louise Jones, Sugar Hill; maternal grandmother, Willie Bratcher, Lawrenceville; one half-brother; two stepbrothers; one stepsister; three uncles; and many other relatives and friends.&lt;br /&gt;

Survivors include her husband, Hoyt Melvin, Bogart; sons and daughter-in-law, Mark and Beth Melvin, Watkinsville, Michael Melvin, Senoia; grandchildren, Molly and Henry Melvin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alton and Frieda Thornton, Athens, Phil and Jennifer Thornton, Brevard, N.C., Dr. Robert Thornton, Atlanta.&lt;br /&gt;

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Rhondal H. and Debbie Ferguson, Winder, Philip and Ann Ferguson, Statham; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Charles Walden, Winder, Kathie and Tommy Ledbetter, Winder; sister, Lanelle Mitchell, Bold Springs; sister-in-law, Frances Hammond, Statham; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.&lt;br /&gt;

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 1, at Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Shuford Jones officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.&lt;br /&gt;

    Dr. Joseph Albert Minish, 84, of Commerce, died Saturday, June 28, 2008, at his residence.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Born in Madison County on Christmas day, he was the son of the late Walter and Florence Hix Minish. He practiced dentistry in Commerce for 32 years and served as mayor of Commerce for over a decade. Following retirement from his dental practice, he established and managed Jackson County Realty for nearly 30 years. A pillar in the Commerce community, Dr. Minish was a Mason, a Shriner, and served on the Regions Bank Board of Directors. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Army during World War II, and in the Georgia State Senate.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
He was a lifetime member of Erastus Christian Church in Madison County, serving as a deacon, elder, Sunday school teacher, and board member. He received a 16 year perfect attendance pin the last Sunday he attended church.&lt;br /&gt;
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Betty Nelson Minish; daughters and sons-in-law, Sadie and Roger Beauchamp, Elizabeth and Greg Cunningham and Lee and Billy Myers; grandchildren, Joel and Stacey Beauchamp; and a sister, Hazel Benton.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 29, at Erastus Christian Church in Madison County with the Revs. Billy Glosson and Carl Beckman officiating. Burial was in Grey Hill Cemetery in Commerce.&lt;br /&gt;

    David Bridges, 37, of Royston, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at the Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, S.C.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
He was born September 1, 1970, in Franklin County, the son of Frank Bridges of Moultrie and Jane and Reese Higgins of Royston. He was a roofer in the construction industry and was Baptist. Mr. Bridges was a veteran, having served in the United States Marine Corps.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Survivors in addition to his parents, include brothers, Jeff Bridges, Moultrie, Steve Bridges, Vanna, Mike Bridges, Carnesville, and Jimmy Bridges, Valdosta; and sisters, Julie Hill, Vanna, and Tonya Wilson, Sylvester.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 27, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Revs. Dan Bailey and Ben Walker officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.&lt;br /&gt;

Mr. O’Kelley was preceded in death by uncles, Huell B. O’Kelley and James Pearson; uncle and aunt, Ray and Betty O’Kelley; and cousins, Jim Mann and Patsy Farmer.&lt;br /&gt;
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, working on automobiles, being outdoors, and spending time with his beloved dog, Sparky, loved ones stated.&lt;br /&gt;

Survivors in addition to his mother, include a sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Ricky Pruitt, Clarkesville; niece, Ashley N.     Evelyn Brown Miller, 91, of Gainesville, died Sunday, June 22, 2008, at her residence.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Born on December 11, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie and Louise Marchbanks Brown. She worked for a time at New Holland Cotton Mill and spent the remainder of her life as a homemaker and wonderful mother. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her baby, Mary Ann Miller; and several brothers.&lt;br /&gt;

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Jack Miller, Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and David Pierce and Genell and Roger Armour, all of Gainesville, Belinda and Dave Cash, St. George Island, Fla.; grandchildren, Brandon and Carly Pierce, Brenton and Amy Pierce, Kasey and Chad Bolton, Christie and Hastin Slaton; great-grandchildren, Erica and Corder Pierce, Morgan and Hannah Pierce, Noah, Jonah and Luke Thomas Bolton; and a brother, Howard Brown, Commerce.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 24, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Little-Davenport Funeral Home with the Revs. Wilburn Peeples and Cleve Scovill officiating. Burial will be in Springway Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, June 23, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.&lt;br /&gt;

    Mitchell Wiley Gailey, 67, of Alto, died Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at his residence, following an extended illness, surrounded by his family.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
He was born in Habersham County on September 19, 1940, the son of the late Everett and Elnora Gailey. He was a member of B.C. Grant Baptist Church and was retired from the DOT engineering department with 34 years of service. He also served on the Baldwin City Council for 10 years. Mr. Gailey was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Gailey.&lt;br /&gt;
He was an avid NASCAR fan who enjoyed gardening and fellowshipping with friends at The Steak House in Baldwin, loved ones stated.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Edith Gailey, Alto; sons and daughters-in-law, Chris Gailey, Lubbock, Texas, Dean and Beverly Smith, Alto, Mike and Kathy Reed, Hartselle, Ala.; daughters and sons-in-law, Angie and Joe Irvin and Kim and Reggie Hulsey, all of Mt. Airy, Tammy and Andy Poole, Gillsville; sister-in-law, Ruby Youngblood Gailey, Cleveland; uncles and spouses, Horace and Pat Bennett and “C.D.” and Bert Bennett, all of Alto; 13 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; aunt, Lillian Pritchett, Alto; and special cousins, Ronnie and Ann Pritchett, Alto.&lt;br /&gt;

    Sharon Forrester Gresham, 64, of Gainesville, died Saturday, June 21, 2008, at her residence surrounded by her family and friends, following an extended illness.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
She was born August 1, 1943, in Hall County, the daughter of the late B.D. Forrester and Hazel Forrester of Lula. Mrs. Gresham was preceded in death by her husband, John (J.T.) Gresham; and brothers, Sandy Forrester and Ricky Forrester. She was Baptist.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Survivors in addition to her mother, include sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Mandy Gresham, Rick and Beverly Gresham, all of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Matt DeLong, Gainesville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sam and Charlotte Forrester, Jerry and Jane Forrester, Phil and Vickie Forrester, Ben Forrester, all of Gainesville, Edd Forrester, Lula; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Shirley and John Buffington, Gillsville, Vickie and Hugh Rice, Gainesville; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Forrester, Gainesville; grandson and wife, T.J. and Carlee Gresham, Gainesville; granddaughters, Haley Gresham and Skyler Proctor, both of Gainesville; great-grandson, Gavin Schwartz, Gainesville; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 24, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Lakewood Baptist Church with Dr. Tom Smiley and the Rev. Dean Bryant officiating. Burial will be in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery in White County. The family will receive friends Monday, June 23, from 7 to 9 p.m.&lt;br /&gt;

    Henry Nathaniel Wilson Jr., 73, of Nicholson, died Sunday, June 22, 2008, at his residence.&lt;br /&gt;

Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Henry Nathaniel Wilson Sr. and Ruzell Garner Smallwood. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Army, and was a retired truck mechanic. He was born on December 2, 1927, in Franklin County, the son of the late W.V. and Nelie Bray Brown. He was retired from Oliver Rubber Company in Athens. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by sons, Robert O. Brown Jr. and James Brown; and sisters, Hazel Cothran and Daisy Lee Hart.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Manley Brown, Carnesville; son, Don M. Manley, Carnesville; granddaughter, Lani Manley, Carnesville; God-daughter, Cindel Eavenson, Carnesville, and sisters, Shirley Ann Purcell and Johnny Mell Bond, both of Royston.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Funeral services were held Friday, June 13, at B.D. Ginn Memorial Chapel. Burial was in the Middle River Baptist Church cemetery.&lt;br /&gt;

    Ruth Gee White, 89, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008, following an extended illness.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
She was born on June 23, 1918, the daughter of the late Homer and Eula Mae Brooks Gee. Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband, John Quinton White; brother and sister, Nolan Gee and Grace Truelove. She was a faithful member of The First Baptist Church of Commerce and of the Berean Sunday School Class. She worked at Harmony Grove Mill in Commerce and was an agent for American Family Life Insurance Company.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She has touched the hearts of many in her long life and her love and the memories of her will linger in all our hearts forever, loved ones stated.&lt;br /&gt;
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Linda White Dickerson and Livingston M. Dickerson Jr., Commerce; grandson and spouse, Phillip K. and Elaine Turner; granddaughters and spouses, Vickie D. and Scott Yaughn, Michele and Joseph Head; great-grandchildren, Etta Yaughn, Zachary  Turner, Ashley Turner, Lucas Yaughn and Lily Ruth Head; brothers and sisters, Irene Allison, Bobbie Bryan and H.W. Gee.&lt;br /&gt;

    Caroline Phillips Bagwell, 19, of Cornelia, died Sunday, June 15, 2008, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
She was the daughter of Don and Mary Margaret Bagwell of Cornelia. In a life that ended too soon, she took every opportunity to express and receive love genuinely and generously in every relationship of her life.&lt;br /&gt;

Caroline was a person who could not be contained. Even as a child, she had tremendous self-confidence with inexhaustible energy and a strong drive to have fun, make good things happen, and follow her personal agenda to get things done.
