A native of Winder, he was the son of the late Berry and Lois Irby King. In 2011, he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Clydie M. King. A United States Army Veteran, he retired from Owens of Georgia as a superintendent with 27 years of service.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy and Tommy Fowler and Connie and Eddie Wallace; son James King, Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Phillip Johnson, all of Winder; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Jewell D. King, Huntsville, Ala.; sisters, Betty J. McDaniel and Virginia King, both of Jefferson; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

DACULA - Dr. J. Don Aderhold, 87, died Thursday, April 4, 2013.
He was born November 14, 1925, and reared in the metropolitan Atlanta area. A veteran of World War II, he served in the United States Navy with a rank of Lt.j.g. He also served in student pastorates and was called to be the pastor of the Columbia Drive Baptist Church in Decatur when the church was organized November 20, 1949. He served as Pastor at Columbia Drive for over 39 years and returned after retiring from New Orleans Seminary. He served as Director and professor at the North Georgia Campus of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary for over 14 years, retiring in 2001 to teach adjunctively and pastor Columbia Drive. He retired from the Seminary at age 80 in 2005. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Geraldine Turner Aderhold.
Don served as president of the Atlanta Baptist Pastor's Conference, Georgia Baptist Pastor's Conference, Mercer Ministerial Alumni Association, and the Home Mission Board for two terms. He served as Trustee of the Atlanta Baptist College, now Mercer University in Atlanta, and Mercer University in Macon, and was a member of the Foreign Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention as well as the Foundation Board of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Survivors include a daughter, Laura Griffo and her husband, Jim, Birmingham, Ala.; son, David Aderhold and his wife, Rita, Dacula; grandchildren, Mark and Michelle Griffo, and Marshall and Logan Aderhold.

He was the son of the late Mack Charles and Betty Jo Wilkes. During his life he worked as a truck driver for Crown Lift and Trucks. He was a United States Army veteran and a member of First Baptist Church Winder.
Mr. Wilkes was preceded in death by a daughter, Candi Passmore; brother, Ricky Wilkes; and a grandchild.

He loved the Beatles and Snoopy, was an avid volunteer fan, and loved history, in particular the Civil War. He was very passionate about serving his flock at New Salem UMC and will be missed dearly by them, the Flowery Branch Community and his extended family.
Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife of 14 years, Julie Goodroe, Flowery Branch; daughter, Heather Goodroe; son, Clifton Goodroe; grandchildren; Kaylee and William Smallwood, and Destiny, Clifton and Lilly Goodroe, all of Snellville; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Kathy Goodroe; sister, Jane Goodroe; and niece, Katie Bennett, all of Chattanooga, Tenn.

Sedelia was raised by her late sister Gladis Mavroodes and brother-in-law Charlie Mavroodes. She retired from Tiny Tot Nursery and was a member of Attica Baptist Church.

He was born in Rochester, N.Y. on August 18, 1929, the son of the late Joseph James and Ramona Myler. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from The University of Notre Dame and Master's Degree from Harvard School of Business. Mr. Myler was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, longtime member of University Yacht Club, and recent historian for the club. He also was a longtime member of the Buckhead Men's Garden Club.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Shirley Myler; son, Joe Myler, Flowery Branch; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and James Drummond, Solana Beach, Calif., Jeanne and Mike Donovan, Leawood, Kan., and Tara and Richard C. Zerby, San Jose, Calif.; and grandchildren, Kelly Laurel Drummond, James Myler Drummond, Bridget Donovan, Sean Donovan and Kiera Donovan.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 2, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, April 1, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
