COLBERT - Harriet Christofferson Suddeth, 89, wife of the late Ramie Franklin Suddeth, died Sunday, May 20, 2012.
A native of Malta, Mont., she was the daughter of the late Harold and Ovedia Solberg Christofferson. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Harold Richard Suddeth; and sister, Elida Christofferson Watson. She was a member of the Colbert United Methodist Church.
Survivors include children, Carolyn (Paul) Suddeth Graff, Leawood, Kan., Judy (Wayne) Suddeth Craig, Colbert, Roger (Kaye) Franklin Suddeth Sr., Colbert, Barbara (Lamar) Suddeth Chandler, Comer; grandchildren, Wayne Craig, Jr., Paula Suddeth Timms, Cody Franklin Suddeth, Roger Franklin Suddeth, Jr., Anna Nichole Chandler; great-grandchildren, Chase Craig, Gabi Timms, Carson Craig and Jake Timms; brothers and sisters, Randolph Christofferson, Arve Christofferson, Junette Christofferson Watson and Artt Christofferson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. Delbert Cook and Flora Barnett Cook Wright; and sisters and brothers, Dicy Perry, Ross Cook, Glen Cook, Mable Spalding, Audia Stevens, Jessie Catron, Mary Cook, and Jim Cook; as well as her husbands, Frank Marshall and Robert Buss.
Phyllis belonged to the Rebecca lodge and Past Grand Nobel. She was a longtime volunteer for the Red Cross and domestic violence chapter.
Survivors include four children, Mary (Sam) Cummins, Joe (Katie) Marshall, Susan (Danny) Kelley, and Betsy Marshall (Farley Gordon); 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her loving cat, Samantha.

COLBERT - Lafayette Woodrow "Woody" Cone, 93, died Tuesday, May 1, 2012 of natural causes at his residence.
He was born on April 21, 1919, in Stilson, he was the son of the late Remer Hamilton and Ila Mae Mingledorf Cone. He retired from the United States Air Force in 1970 after serving 28 years in the military as a command pilot during World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. His Form 5 shows that he flew over 450 hours behind enemy lines during combat. He earned his pilot's license at Ben Epps Field through the University of Georgia, School of Aviation. Mr. Cone graduated from the University of Georgia in 1949 with a LLB degree (Bachelor of Laws.) He was later awarded a JD (Juris Doctor) by University of Georgia. He practiced law in Commerce and Jefferson after his retirement from the Air Force.
Survivors include his children, Jon and Fran Cone, Lilburn, Marcus Cone and Kim
Schultz, Huntington Beach, Calif., Phillip Cone, Monroe, and Tommy and Elisa Coulter, Colbert; grandchildren, Erin Cone, Jared and Marisa Coulter, and Chad, Ben and Drew Leathers.
He will be buried beside his first wife and mother of his children, Olive Mary Gritten Cone.
