Joyce Wood
Joyce Wood, of Nicholson, a committed Christian, loving mother, devoted wife, and endearing friend has left this earthly life and is now resting in the arms of Christ. She was 71, the daughter of the late Bill and Bessie Odum Nicholson.
She was married for 56 years to Gene Wood, her high school sweetheart. Together they raised five wonderful children, sharing with each of them their love for Christ, family, and community.
Her family was the center of her life. Her greatest delight was watching each of her children grow into loving contributing adults. Throughout her life she opened her home to family and friends who were in need, often for extended periods of time.
