Betty Morrison, 87, of Comer, passed away Feb. 1, 2019. She was the daughter of the late, Lester & Willie Morrison. She was a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church.

Nell Hall Allen, 81, of Athens, formerly of Jefferson, entered into rest Friday, Feb. 1, 2019. Mrs. Allen was born in Jefferson, the daughter of the late Cecil and Ruby Fay Healen Hall, was of the Baptist Faith and retired from Wayne Farms after 42 years.
Mrs. Allen is preceded by her companion, Willie Rufus Duffel, and a number of cousins. Survivors include a cousin who was like her daughter, Kathy (Nacy) Fusco of Jefferson; cousins, Betty Sue Strickland of Auburn and Billy Patton of Pikeville, Kentucky.

Kathleen C. Dorsey, 77, of Gillsville, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, at Bountiful Hills Nursing Home. Mrs. Dorsey was born in Cumming to the late, Solomon and Margaret Self Carnes. Mrs. Dorsey was retired from Southern Bell and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dorsey was also preceded in death by Ed Dorsey and her son, Little Ed Dorsey; brothers, Ausborne, Howard, John, and Marshall; and sisters, Martha and Leota.

Margaret Mobley Roberts (01-26-19)
Margaret Mobley Roberts, 93, of Hoschton, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019 following a short illness. Mrs. Roberts was a resident of the Magnolia Estates Retirement Center in Winder.
Mrs. Roberts was born on September 24, 1925 in Whigham, Grady County, to her late parents John Wesley Mobley and Pennie Maxwell Mobley. During her adult life, Mrs. Roberts was employed in the commercial financial services sector in Jacksonville, Florida and Suitland, Maryland until retiring from HSBC financial holding company in Palm Harbor, Florida in the mid-1990s.
After the passing of her husband in 2011, she moved to Hoschton the following year to live with her son and his wife.
She was preceded in death by her husband, six brothers and one sister and is survived by her son, James Jester (and Emily); one stepson, John Roberts of Chicago, Ill.; one sister, Christine Gillespie (and Hilton) of Albany; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and two loving grand-dogs Teddy and Addie.
She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Palms and interment will be held on February 20, 2019 in Palm Harbor, Fla.

Patricia Whitfield McGee (01-22-19)
Patricia Whitfield McGee, just shy of 81 years of age, passed away Jan. 22, 2019, at Piedmont Athens Regional following a sudden illness. She was the daughter of the late Marion Morrison and Nobie Haggard Morrison. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy Whitfield; brothers, Doug and Billy Morrison; and sister, Vera Whitfield.
She is survived by her sister, Jenny Clifton (Bob) and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews who she dearly loved. Having no children of her own, she was a second Mom to them, always ready to reach out to love and help them with whatever they needed. We will be forever grateful for her unconditional love and support. Our lives will certainly be different without her but better by having loved and been loved by her.
Patsy retired from Oxford of Commerce as a supervisor after many years of service. She enjoyed gardening, cutting her grass and displaying her yard art at her home. She could also whip up a delicious chocolate pudding or sugar pie for her family. She was presently attending Blacks Creek Baptist Church where she enjoyed fellowship with friends.
Celebration of her life: February 9 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home in Commerce with visitation one hour prior to the service.
As per her request, her ashes will be buried next to her late husband.

William Curtiss Clark (01-29-19)
William Curtiss Clark, 62, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019.
Born May 21, 1956, in Athens, Curtiss was the son of the late William Frank Clark and Mary Sue Clark. He graduated from Clarke Central High School in 1974. He joined the Athens-Clarke County Fire Department in 1979 and had a 36-year career before retiring in 2015. Curtiss also started Clark Glass and Mirror in the 80s, which is still in business today. He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. His wife, children and grandchildren were the loves of his life along with his beloved dogs, Sophie and Cooper. His kindness and caring for others made him an exceptional husband, father and grandfather.
Curtiss is survived by his wife, Tara Stewart Clark; sons, Ben Clark, Matt Myatt, Scotty Phillips and Adam Nash; daughters, Christy Clark Nash and Amy Phillips; grandchildren, Emmerson Nash and Sheldon Phillips; brother-in-law, Wesley Stewart; brother, Bruce Wayne Clark (Cathy) and numerous nieces and nephews.
