Vicki Varner Seagraves, 66, of the Bold Springs Community, passed away December 12, 2018, at her residence.
Born July 29, 1952, in Commerce, she was the daughter of Eva Myra Hambrick Varner and the late James Joel Varner. She was a 1970 graduate of Franklin County High School, a bus driver for many years with the Franklin County School System and a member of the Bold Springs United Methodist Church.
Survivors in addition to her mother include her husband, Mike Seagraves; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Brandi Seagraves, Carnesville; two grandchildren, Bailee (Brian) Seagraves and Brylee Seagraves; sister and brother-in-law, Myra and Philip Haley, Carnesville; nephews Blake (Kasey) Haley, and Brennan (Joanne) Haley; and great-nephews, Taylor, Gavin, David, James, and Carter.
Funeral services: 3 p.m. Thursday, December 13, at the Bold Springs United Methodist Church with the Revs. Randy Strickland and Jacquelin Ratliff. Pallbearers were Blake Haley, Brennan Haley, Brian Chitwood, Tony Davison, Kenneth Layton and Tommy Davison.

Mr. Allen was born in Homer, the son of the late Otho Jack and Lola Merck Allen. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Hill Allen.

CARLTON - Elmer R. Hardman, 80, fell asleep in death at his residence in Carlton, on December 26, 2018.
Elmer married Elsie M. Meadows on June 18, 1960. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. After his military service ended, he pursued employment at such places as Benson's Bakery, University of Georgia, Orkin, St. Mary's and Armstrong & Dobbs. Elmer is most known as a master carpenter and could build anything he set his mind to. He was a self-proclaimed master gardener. He worked hard all year round growing vegetables which he often shared with his family and community. He was preceded in death by his parents, William B. and Loria M. Hardman; brother, Odean; and sister, Thlema.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Elsie M. Yaeko Carter, 89, went to be with the Lord on the December 27, 2018, at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens.
She was born on February 16, 1929, in Yokohama, Japan. She married Robert E. Carter September 8, 1959. They raised a son and a daughter and have seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. After living in Chicago, Norfolk and Jacksonville, they settled in Winder in 1975. Mrs. Carter loved to sew, crochet, knit and cross stitch.
