Lorraine Little

Lorraine Pressley Little, 68, of Jefferson, died Saturday, June 7, 2008.

She was born on March 11, 1940, in Abbeville, S.C., the daughter of the late Joe Bill and Dora Ann Barrett Pressley. She was a homemaker and was Baptist. Mrs. Little was preceded in death by her husband, John Eathel Little; and a son, Jacob Little.

Survivors include daughters, Ruby Campbell, Jefferson, Barbara Freeman, Carnesville, Brenda Flynn, Gainesville; grandchildren raised in the home, John Little and Carrie Sims; sister, Barbara Jean Pressley, California; brothers, Ralph Pressley, Melvin Pressley, Eddie Pressley, Franklin Pressley, all of Chester, S.C., B.L. Pressley, Athens, Donnie Pressley, Commerce, Willie Pressley, Pendergrass, and Roger Pressley, Nicholson; 13 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 10, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Revs. Melvin Pressley and Darrell Smith officiating. Burial will be in White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, June 9, from 3 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
