William Reeves

WINDER – William H. Reeves, 77, died Monday, January 5, 2009, at Barrow Medical Center, following an extended illness.

Born on May 1, 1931, in Huntsville, Ala., he was retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service, and also worked 12 years at Westinghouse. Mr. Reeves was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and one step-brother.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Jane Reeves, Winder; daughter, Lola L. Kiser, Gainesville; sons, Willie L. Lee Jr., West Palm Beach, Fla., Patrick Reeves, Philip Reeves, John Reeves and Marie Terez, all of France; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nita Jones, North Carolina.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 9, at 11 a.m., at Hopewell Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robbie Forrester officiating. Burial will be in the Georgia National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 8, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, Gainesville, is in charge of arrangements.
