LULA – Lucille Echols Greenway, 85, died Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at her residence.
Born on April 27, 1923, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Perry and Harriet Roberts Echols. She was a member of Belton Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Greenway was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin W. Greenway; grandson, Christopher England; son-in-law, Bobby Hulsey; special nephew, Frank Echols; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Judy England, Jodi and Ray Suggs, all of Lula, June Hulsey, Dawsonville, Jimi Wade, Cornelia, the Rev. Leon Miller, Toccoa; granddaughters, Cindy Miller Wilson, Easley, S.C., Lori Miller, Toccoa, Becky Hulsey Millwood, Cumming, Stephanie Wade Tyler, Demorest; grandsons, Reece England, Jeff Suggs and Ryan Suggs, all of Lula, Josh Baker, Dawsonville; 14 great-grandchildren; and a special nephew, Henry Echols, Maysville.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 9, at 11 a.m., at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with the Revs. Robert Nix and Jacob Millwood officiating. Burial will be in the Gillsville Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Millwood officiating. The family will receive friends at the South Chapel Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m.
