Ellen Margaret Hill Williams, 80, of Baldwin, died Thursday, January 1, 2009, at Oak Heritage Healthcare.
Born on February 5, 1928, in Clarkesville, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Dora Lucy Sloan Hill. She was a member of the Camp Creek Baptist Church in Six Mile, S.C., and she received a Bachelor of Arts in Education at Piedmont College and was a school teacher. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Homer L. Williams.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Carol Dyer, Six Mile, S.C., Nick and Joni Dyer, Ronnie and Jeanna Dyer, all of Clermont; sisters and brother-in-law, Peggy Taylor, Clarkesville, Betty and John Chokos, Savannah; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Ann Hill, Demorest; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, January 4, at Whitfield Funeral Home with the Revs. John Reeser and Grady Walden officiating. Burial was in Clarkesville City Cemetery.
