Margaret Ruth Garner Canup, 71, of Cleveland, died Monday, December 29, 2008, at Gateway Nursing Home, following a brief illness.
Born in Habersham County on May 14, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Lola Elise Holcomb Garner.
Mrs. Canup was the mother of Patsy Canup of Lula; and sister of Lola Pauline Gibson of Alto.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 2, 2009, in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart Funeral Home.
