Dorothy Eloise Doster, 82, of Jefferson, died Wednesday, December 31, 2008.
Born on March 19, 1926, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie W. and Dovie Hammonds Nix. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church of Jefferson. Mrs. Doster was preceded in death by her husband, James Clyde “Punkin” Doster; a son, Reggie Clyde Doster; and step-mother, Lillie B. Nix.
Survivors include sisters, Mayrelle Duke and Annie Grace Phillips, both of Jefferson; brothers, Donald “J.D.” Nix, Snellville, and Billy Nix, Banks County; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2009, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Mobley officiating. Burial will be in the Woodbine Cemetery. The visitation will be Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
