Blanche Elder, 94, of Auburn, died Sunday, December 28, 2008. A native of Ware County, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Julia Moxley Calhoun. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Elder. Mrs. Elder was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carl and was a retiree of the Georgia Department of Transportation.
Survivors include son, Thomas F. (Angela) Elder; daughter, Charlotte (Sid) Bonnemer, all of Auburn; Three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 31, at 2 p.m., from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Pastor Ray H. Newman, Sr. and Mr. Bill Banks officiating. Burial will be in the Galilee Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
