Funeral services for William Clinton Durham, 78, of Clarkesville, were held Thursday, June 5, 2008, at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Dr. Bill Cashion, the Revs. Furman Lewis and Tommy Stowe officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
He was born on September 17, 1929, the son of Fletcher and Merle Durham. He grew up on a farm in Banks County and graduated from Baldwin High School and North Georgia Tech. In 1959, he graduated from Southern Tech as an industrial engineer and worked as a plant manager in several companies over the years. Mr. Durham was a veteran, having served in the United States Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie; daughter and son-in-law, Britt and Gerald Cody; granddaughters, Morgan and Sarah Beth; brothers, sisters and their families; and several nieces and nephews.

Hillside Memorial Chapel, Clarkesville, was in charge of arrangements.
