Michael Carlton Gailey, 40, of Baldwin, died Friday, December 26, 2008, at his residence.
Born on January 5, 1968, in Stephens County, he was the son of Thomas and Pauline Gailey of Baldwin. He was a 1986 graduate of Habersham Central High School, graduated from North Georgia Technical College in electronics, and graduated from Truett-McConnell College, where he earned his associates degree. He also attended Piedmont College, and was a member of the Prospect United Methodist Church, where he was the youth group leader and a Vacation Bible School teacher. He was a copier technician with Duplicating Products and was a Banks County 4-H Club Volunteer and coach. He was an avid woodsman who loved to fish and hunt, was a beekeeper, and a woodworker, loved ones stated.
Survivors in addition to his parents, include his wife, Gina Kesler Gailey, Baldwin; daughters, Courtney Gailey and Emily Gailey, both of Baldwin; brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Laura Gailey, Baldwin; maternal grandmother, Cleola Byrd, Toccoa; paternal grandmother, Rubie Wilbanks Gailey, Baldwin; niece, Madison Gailey, Baldwin; and nephew, Morgan Gailey, Baldwin.
Funeral services were held Sunday, December 28, at the Prospect United Methodist Church with the Revs. Dennis Wilkes and Tim House officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
