Lamar Davis, 77, of Statham, died Sunday, December 21, 2008.
He was the son of the late Allen and Eula Jackson Davis and was preceded in death by sons, Jeff Davis and Danny Davis; brothers, Billy Davis and Larry Davis; and a sister, Grace Stephens. Mr. Davis was a veteran, having served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
Survivors include children, Judy Cook, Statham, James Davis, Covington, Joe Davis, Delaware, and John Davis, Louisiana; sister, Libby Luke, Bogart; brother, Donald Davis, Statham; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 24, at Oconee Chapel. Burial was in Oconee Memorial Park.
Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors, Watkinsville, was in charge of arrangements.
