Junior Bradford

Junior E. Bradford, 79, of Winder, died Sunday, December 21, 2008. A native of Gwinnett County, he was the son of the late Willie J. and Omie Davis Bradford. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Gower Bradford and a brother, John Bradford. Mr. Bradford was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and was a retiree of General Motors.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma Porter Bradford, Winder; son, Dale (Carla) Bradford, Buford; step-children, Laura (Dennis) Farmer, Conway, SC, Sam (Charlotte) Wheeler, Monroe; grandchildren, Lauren Bradford, Buford, Chip (Sara Beth) Wheeler, Monroe, Chris Wheeler, Athens, Katie (Chris) Landress, Grayson, Mary Anne (Brad) Tillman, Lexington, S.C., Brandt Farmer, Bethlehem; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Ed (Ellen) Bradford, Hoschton, C.W. (Doris) Bradford, Auburn, Kelley (Katherine) Bradford, Carnesville, Morris (Elizabeth) Bradford, Canon; sisters, Quanee “Tina” (J. W.) Wright, Watkinsville, and Doris McCranie, Winder.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 23, from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with the Revs. Chip Wheeler and Doyle Sims officiating. Burial was in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Carter Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
