David Anthony “Tony” Grant, 59, of Baldwin, died Monday, December 15, 2008, at his residence.
Born on January 13, 1949, in Toccoa, he was the son of the late J.C. and Tonnie Lillian Kessler Grant. He was a graduate of South Habersham High School, was a member of the Mt. Airy Lodge #141 F&AM and the Mountaineer Shrine Club, a Scottish Rite Club. He was a lifetime member of the Whittington Gun Club and was the co-owner of G & L Automotive for 30 years.
Survivors include his sisters and brother-in-law, Wanda and Mickey Watkins, Cornelia, Alice Kay Grant, San Antonio, Texas; and a brother, James Charles Grant, Baldwin.
Funeral services were held Thursday, December 18, at Whitfield Funeral Home South Chapel with the Revs. Terrell Simmons and Paul Bryson officiating. Burial was in the Level Grove Cemetery with Masonic grave rites provided by the Mt. Airy Masonic Lodge #141.
Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, was in charge of arrangements.
