Ruth Chancey Wright, 93, of Winder, died Tuesday, December 16, 2008.

Born in Stephens County, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Elizabeth Brodes Royster. She was a member of Carter Hill Christian Church. Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Wright; and a son, Harold Chancey.

Survivors include grandchildren, Dr. Lisa Fay Fowlkes, Bogart, and Bobby Smith Chancey, Winder; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, John “Tuny” Royster, Winder.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 19, at 3:30 p.m., at Smith Memory Chapel with Ray Fumea, Minister, officiating. Burial will be in Carter Hill Christian Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 18, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
