David M. Motte Jr., 66, of Cleveland, died Monday, December 15, 2008, at his residence following an extended illness.

Born on January 14, 1942, in New Hanover County, N.C., he was the son of the late David Mac and Annie Lila Covil Motte.
Mr. Motte was the step-father of Shelia Digiacomo of Braselton.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 19, at 11 a.m., at The Wood Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Bud Griffith officiating. Burial will be in Graceland East Memorial Park in Simpsonville, S.C. The family will receive friends at Barrett Funeral Home in Cleveland Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at The Wood Mortuary in Greer, S.C. on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Barrett Funeral Home, Cleveland, is in charge of local arrangements.
