Robert Hinton

Robert Hinton, 84, died Wednesday, December 10, 2008.

Born in Barrow County on May 8, 1924, he was the son of the late Theodus and Mary Hinton. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Lucille Hinton; a son, Billy Hinton; brother, Buck Hinton; and a sister, Mabel Reed. He was a kind and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed by all, loved ones stated.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Quinton Rhodes and Vickie and David Hinton, all of Winder; sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Nancy Ruth Hinton, Spencer and Carolyn Hinton, and Michael Hinton, all of Winder; step-son, Jerome Paschal, Atlanta; and grandchildren, Sheila Rhodes, Renae Rhodes, Adrain Rhodes, Quenese Rhodes, Safaris Hinton, Leonardo Hinton, Tanya Hinton, Jershaw Paschal and Sidney Paschal; 14 great-grandchildren; special friend of the family, Margaret Slayton; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 15, at Eberhart & Son Mortuary with the Rev. Kenneth Cooper officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Eberhart & Son Mortuary, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
