Eugene Thomas “Cowboy” Cochran, 49, of Jefferson, died Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at his residence.
Born in Jackson County, he was the son of Peggy Ann Edwards Cochran of Jefferson and the late Thomas Cochran. He was a horse farmer and was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, David Nylander.
Survivors include sisters and brothers-in-law, Jan and Ricky Owensby and Cheryl Nylander, all of Commerce, Teresa and Dennis Minish, Belmar, N.J.; special friend, Tennea Kelly, Dahlonega; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 18, at 2 p.m., at Maysville Baptist Church with the Revs. Brian Stowe and Rodney Wilbanks officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
