Nell Duckett Crisp, 90, of Cannonwood Village, Tiger, died Sunday, December 14, 2008, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
Born in Banks County on May 20, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Abb and Laura Stevenson Duckett. She was a member of the Clayton Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, and was a member of the Sunday School, and a member of a Church Circle. She was a Social Worker with DFACS for many years. Mrs. Crisp was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Crisp.
Survivors include a stepson and his wife, Jeff and Judy Crisp, Milledgeville; step-daughter, Susan Crisp Taylor, Milledgeville; step-granddaughter and husband, Greer and Jason Thompson, San Antonio, Texas; and step-great-grandchildren, Hendley, Harrison, and Reed Thompson, all of San Antonio, Texas; niece, Nancy Wise, Mount Airy; great-nephew and his wife, Trammell and Amy Wise, Rome; and a great-niece and her husband, Maggie and Jody Smith, Villa Rica; great-great-nephew, Isaac Smith, Villa Rica; and a great-great-niece, Abbie Smith, Villa Rica.
The body has been cremated and memorial services will be at the Clayton Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday. December 17, with the Revs. Joey Thompson, Mark Green, and David Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends at Hunter Funeral Home Tuesday, December 16, from 4 to 6 P.M.
