Claude “C.J.” Chesser Jr., 51, of Sautee, died Thursday, December 4, 2008, at his residence following a brief illness.

Born in DeKalb County, he was the son of the late Claude Chesser Sr. and Lois Tatum Chesser.

He was the father of Carrie Thomas, Courtney Chesser, and Claude Chesser III, all of Jefferson; brother of Paul Chesser and Julia Chesser, both of Jefferson.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 8, in the chapel of Barrett Funeral Home in Cleveland.
