Jane Booth Isom, 83, died Thursday, December 11, 2008, at Caremoor Nursing Center in Kannapolis, N.C.
Born on March 16, 1925, in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Hester and Laura Scarborough Booth. She was employed 20 years with the former Cannon Mills Company and was a long-time member of Kirkwood Presbyterian Church in Kannapolis, N.C. She was a devoted wife, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by those that she touched, loved ones stated. Mrs. Isom was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Wilson Isom; and a daughter, Jennie Isom Overcash.
Survivors include a son, Michael Isom, Tamarac, Fla.; daughter, Judith Isom Correll, N. Myrtle Beach, S.C.; grandchildren, Bradley Isom, Deborah Isom Chodyniecki, Mandee Correll Bryant, Kelly Jones Skillman, Julie Jones and Christopher Jones; and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 13, at 4 p.m., at Whitley’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Deborah Madden officiating. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:30 to 4 p.m. prior to the service.
