Louella Holden

Louella Crowe Drake Holden, 79, of Danielsville, died Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at the Brown Memorial Convalescent Center in Royston.

Born in Madison County on December 16, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Charles Ernest and Ruth Bond Crowe. She was a retired inspector, having worked with Georgia Sportswear, and was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church. Mrs. Holden was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell Carl Drake.

Survivors include her husband, George Arthur Holden Jr., Danielsville; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry S. and Carla Drake, Royston; daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Greg Dudley, Ila; brother, Steve Crowe, Fayetteville, N.C.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 11, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Revs. Glenn Guest and Malcolm Herndon officiating. Burial was in Danielsville Memorial Gardens.
