Theo Duncan, 73, of Auburn, died Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at Emory University Hospital.
A native of Walton County, he had resided in Barrow County since 1951. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and was a retiree of the city of Lawrenceville’s Street Department. Mr. Duncan was the son of the late Brantley and Ida Mae Hall Duncan.
Survivors include his wife, Julia Rooks Duncan, Auburn; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Joey Jones, Shellman Bluff; sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Julie Duncan, Conyers, Mark and Janice Duncan, Auburn; brother and sister-in-law, Cleo and Clarice Duncan, Auburn; sister and brother-in-law, Pallie Lee and Matt Gross, Columbus; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 12, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home with the Revs. Steve Ferguson and Jeff Palmer officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 11, from 5 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.
