Peter “Pete” James Wythe, 59, of Winder, died Monday, June 2, 2008.
He was born in Detroit, Mich., the son of the late Harry Fredrick and Laura Blay Wythe and was Catholic. He was a machinist and worked for Attica Hydrolics Exchange. Mr. Wythe was a veteran, having served in the United States Navy and Air Force National Guard.
Survivors include sons, Patrick and Kristopher Wythe, both of Winder; step-daughter, April Vermeylen, Alganac, Mich.; brothers, Fred Wythe, Clinton Township, Mich., Chuck Wythe, Conroe, Texas, Robert Wythe, Panama City Beach, Fla.; sisters, Kathy Brantley, Winder, Mary Baker, Desoto, Texas, Molly Balance, Waxahachie, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
A mass will be held Friday, June 6, at 2 p.m., at Smith Memory Chapel. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 5, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
