Shelvie J. Shields, 69, of Hull, died Monday, December 8, 2008.
A native of Newton County, she was the daughter of the late Henry G. and Mary Garner Shepherd and was a homemaker. Mrs. Shields was preceded in death by her husband, W.D. Shields.
Survivors include sons, Mike and Tim Arthur; daughters, Deborah Wiley and Patti DeWitt; brothers, Charles and Thomas Shepherd; sister, Carolyn Reid; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 11, at 3 p.m., at Brown Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Tony Lee officiating. Burial will be in the Wesley Chapel Community Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Hospice House in Bogart.
