Rex Boyd Brady, 69, of Toccoa, died Monday, December 8, 2008, at Stephens County Medical Center, following an extended illness.
Born in Banks County on August 30, 1939, he was the son of the late Otha and Monteen Ausburn Brady. He was employed in the manufacturing industry and enjoyed collecting antiques. Mr. Brady was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Brady.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Richard Burton, Toccoa; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony Brady, Ken and Sandy Brady, and Randy Brady, all of Toccoa; brother, Keith Brady, Greenville, S.C.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 11, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home. Burial will be in Union Hill Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
