Jamelia Darlene Jones, 66, of Nails Creek Crossing Community, died Friday, December 5, 2008, at the Cobb Memorial Hospital.
Born on June 7, 1942, in Shawnee, Okla., she was the daughter of the late James William Wingett Sr. and Mildred Olivia Clifton Wingett. She was a waitress at the Iron Skillet Restaurant at the Petro Truck Center and was Baptist. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Lee Wingett.
Survivors include her husband, Andrew Dwayne “Andy” Jones; a son, Roger Lee See, Canon; daughters, Darsey Lynn Rollins, Lebanon, Tenn., and Andrea Dawn Kennedy, Royston; brothers, Jerry Wingett, Troy, Michigan, and James William Wingett Jr., Waterford, Mich.; sisters, Rita Fisher, Kathy Bradley, both of Michigan, Cheryl Wingett, Toccoa, and Pamela Kay Bilbey, Bluffton, S.C.; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 9, at Ginn Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Eugene Turk officiating.
Ginn Funeral Home, Carnesville, was in charge of arrangements.
