Ross Thomas Radey, Jr., 56, of Barrow County, died Sunday, June 1, 2008.
He was born on March 10, 1952, in Long Beach, Calif., the son of the late Ross Thomas and Mary Radey. He attended Montgomery College in Rockville, Md., with a food management certificate and received a scholarship from National Association of Catering Executives. He spent most of his career in restaurant management and enjoyed being an apprentice culinary artist at Disney World. He was an advanced culinary Souse Chef taught under Clayton Philbrook, Instructor from the Culinary Institute at Cornel University. He held management positions with numerous restaurants and dinner theatres. He also worked as an insurance agent with American General Life and Accident Insurance Company and was recognized with The President’s Trophy Council award.
Survivors include children and grandchildren, Brian Radey and his wife, Andrea and their two children, Isabel and Nicolas, Jessica Radey and her son Devin, his youngest son, Brandon Radey and Tom’s sister, Dorothy Espada and her husband Milton.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, June 5, at 10 a.m. at North Brevard Funeral Home in Titusville, Fla.
Carter Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of local arrangements.
