‘Ray’ Stephens

Rashe Walter “Ray” Stephens Jr., 67, of Peachtree City, died Wednesday, December 3, 2008.

Born in Jefferson, he was the son of Rashe Walter Stephens Sr. and Ruthie Studivant. He was retired from Norfolk Southern Corporation.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Judith “Judy” Stephens, Peachtree City; daughter, Cynthia M. Stephens Davis, Loganville; sons, Warren Craig Stephens, College Park, Rashe Walker Stephens III, Arlington, Va.; sister-in-law, Laverne Sawyer Hicks, Birmingham, Ala.; grandchildren, Brittney Davis, Briana Davis, Tierra Rashelle Stephens; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Sunday, December 7, in the chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Dr. George Dillard officiating. Burial was in Paradise AME Cemetery with Randy Studivant officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Piedmont Fayette Hospital, Attn: Development Office, 1255 Hwy. 54 West, Fayetteville, Ga. 30214.

Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge of arrangements.
