Evelyn Joyce Dean, 79, died Sunday, November 30 2008, at her residence in Conyers, following an extended illness.
Born on January 6, 1929, in Madison County, she will always be remembered for her never tiring generosity and caring for others.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, T.W. Dean, also from Madison County; sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis N. and Sherry Dean, Conyers, and James W. and Noreen LeGare Dean, Tallahassee, Fla.; grandchildren, Kelly Creegan and Patrick Dean, both of Conyers, and Lillian Calvert-Dean, Savannah; sisters and brother-in-law, Doris and Arnold King, Canton, Gloria Phillips, Danielsville, and Angie Dudley, Rockmart.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, December 4, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home in Danielsville with the Revs. Ray Jenkins officiating. Burial will be at the Jones Chapel Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Jones Chapel Methodist Church, Hwy. 29 North, Danielsville, Ga. 30633, or the Conyers First Methodist Church, 921 North Main St., Conyers, Ga. 30012.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
