Donnie Metcalf, 92, of Athens, died Saturday, November 29, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens.
Born in Banks County, she was the daughter of the late James Columbus and Jennie Elizabeth Ausborn Worley. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Herbert Metcalf, Athens; daughters, Doris Dawson, Athens, and Bonnie Hanley, Hull; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 1, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Alexander officiating. Burial was in the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.
