Tommy J. Terrell, 56, of Nicholson, died Saturday, May 31, 2008, at Heritage Health Care of Athens.
Born in Tifton, he was the son of Rachel E. Martin and the late Henry Ford Terrell and was Catholic. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Marines during Vietnam. Mr. Terrell was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Mae Harvey Terrell.
Survivors in addition to his mother, include a daughter, Sarah Lynn Tranum; step-daughter, Cherie Lackey; sisters, Jackie Love, Shirley Terrell, Jennie Knight, Sandra Conley, Brenda Perry; brother, Billy Terrell; grandchildren, Rhiannon Medley, Scarlet Clark, Sammy Lackey, Halee Lackey, Makala Ramey; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 3, at 2 p.m., at Ross Chapel Church with the Rev. Jason Rowe officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
