John A. Scott, 89, of Winder, died Sunday, November 23, 2008.
A native of Jamaica, he was the son of the late Alfred and Ethel Henry Scott. He was a retired cabinet maker.
Survivors include his wife, Ivy Scott, Winder; children, Andrea Scott, Long Island, N.Y., Randolph Scott, Bushkill, Pa., John P. Scott, Winder, Alfred Scott, Bronx, N.J., Janice Wallace, Buford, Richard Scott, North Carolina, and Martin Scott, Virginia; 21 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Friday, November 28, at 6 p.m., at the Barrow Worship Center with the Rev. Charles Reece officiating.
Carter Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
