Belle Tomlin

Belle Tomlin, 99, of Winder, died Friday, November 21, 2008.

Born in Butts County, she was the daughter of the late William and Lucy Ardelia Nelms Strickland. She was Baptist and a homemaker. Mrs. Tomlin was preceded in death by her husband, William Tomlin; a son, Alton Kitchens; and a daughter, Sybil K. Wright.

Survivors include five grandchildren, Tommy Wright, Kathleen Parten, Gail Persell, Gary Kitchens and Teresa Fountain; five great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bernice Hudson, Jersey.
Funeral services were held Sunday, November 23, at Smith Memory Chapel, with the Rev. Palmer Pace officiating. Burial was in Barrow Memorial Gardens.

Smith Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
