Ruby Deal Royston, 87, of Bowman, died Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at her residence.
She was born in Rowan, N.C., on April 17, 1921, the daughter of the late Edgar and Mary F. Deal. She was a homemaker and a member of the Royston First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Royston was preceded in death by her husband, James Lesley Royston; brothers, Ralph and Walter Deal; sisters, Jonsie Horne and a twin sister, Ruth Bray.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Amanda (Mandy) and Joseph Kahl, Slidell, La.; granddaughters and spouses, Amanda L. Kahl, Mary K. and Barry Van-Shoubrouer, Judy K. and Steven Hale; great-grandchildren, Sean M. Williams, Joshua R. Hale and Thomas J. Hale.
Graveside services were held Friday, May 30, at Franklin Memorial Gardens-South with Dr. Wesley Harris Jr. officiating.
