Cline Fambrough, 86, of Winder, died Thursday, November 20, 2008, at his residence.
A native of Jackson County, he was the son of the late Clarence and Callie Fowler Fambrough. He was a member of The Winder First United Methodist Church. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Army during World War II, serving in the European Theatre, and was a retired Supply Sergeant with the Georgia Army National Guard. Mr. Fambrough was preceded in death by sisters, Ruth Boyd and Sara Wiley; and brothers, Burton Fambrough and Horace Fambrough.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Garner Fambrough, Winder; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 22, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Tippens officiating. The family will receive friends Friday at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial will be Saturday at 3 p.m. in the New Canaan Baptist Church cemetery in Buchanan.
