James “Jimmy” Lewis Waldroup, 54, of Hull, died Wednesday, November 19, 2008.
A native of Clarke County, he was the son of the late Bonnie Jean Harvey and George W. Waldroup. He was a master plumber by trade, although his happiest years were spent as a captain of a commercial fishing boat in the Gulf of Mexico. Mr. Waldroup was preceded in death by a twin brother, John Carson Waldroup.
Survivors include siblings and spouses, George H. and Jan Waldroup, Winterville, Paul and Kasey Waldroup, Athens, Becky and Jim Henderson, Colbert, and Debbie and Howard Snyder, Watkinsville; a dear friend, Leslie Elliott, Hull; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held Monday, November 24, in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, Athens, was in charge of arrangements.
