Montoya Lamars Johnson, 35, of Commerce, died Tuesday, November 18, 2008, at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens.
A native of Franklin County, he was the son of Willie Ralph and Rose Marie Johnson of Lavonia. He was a member of Holy Calvary M.R.F. Church in Lavonia.
Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife, Angela Johnson, Commerce; a son, Dyeravis Johnson; daughter, Shatoya Johnson, Commerce; brother, Shawn Patrick Johnson, Lavonia; sisters, Katherine Michelle Lyon, Barnesville, Karen Delaine Thomas, Lavonia; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 22, at 2 p.m., at Holy Calvary M.R.F. Church in Lavonia with Bishop Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church Saturday at 1 p.m. until hour of service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, November 21, from 8 to 9 p.m.
