Christine Umbehant Elrod, 76, of Anderson, S.C., died Tuesday, November 18, 2008, in Anderson, S.C.
Born on July 18, 1932, in Banks County, she was the daughter of the late Larkin and Emma Pitts Umbehant. She was a member of the River Heights Pentecostal Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Elrod was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan L. Elrod; son, Robert Andrew Dill; and brothers, Otis Umbehant, Elmo Umbehant, Arthur Umbehant and Everett Umbehant.
Survivors include a son, John Dill, Belton, S.C.; brothers, Gene Umbehant, Mt. Airy, Glenn Umbehant, Demorest; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Friday, November 21, at 2 p.m., at the Community Baptist Church cemetery with the Rev. John Umbehant officiating.
Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, is in charge of arrangements.

Thanks for taking good care of Aunt Christine Elrod and burying her by Ma and Pa. I was not able to come but my heart was there
