JEFFERSON - Eugene Nowlin Stewart, 83, entered into rest Friday, June 19, 2015.
Mr. Stewart was born in Atlanta, the son of the late Oscar Blacknall Stewart and Christine Nowlin Stewart. Mr. Stewart was the retired owner of Gene Stewart & Associates, a furniture manufacturer representative, a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War, a 1955 graduate of the University of Georgia, and a member of the Jefferson First United Methodist Church. Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by a brother, O.B. Stewart.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Jerry Ozburn Stewart, Jefferson; son, Barry K. Stewart and his wife Robbin, Acworth; son, Alan R. Stewart, Irmo, S.C.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, from the First United Methodist Church of Jefferson with the Rev. Chris Laskey officiating. Visitation will follow in the church fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Jefferson, 188 Martin St., Jefferson, GA 30549.
