Bill Brown, 81, of Commerce, died Friday, November 14, 2008, at the BJC Nursing Home.
Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Roy and Lilla Lord Brown. He was the retired owner of Ed and Bill’s Photo Shop and was a member of Commerce First Baptist Church. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Air Force during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Molly Wood Brown, Commerce; sons, Abe Brown, Commerce, and Brad Brown, Lula; daughter, Bonnie Harris, Watkinsville; brother, Paul Brown, Athens; sister, Jean Hunt, New Bern, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, November 16, at 3 p.m., at the Commerce First Baptist Church with Dr. Carlton Allen and the Rev. Brian Stowe officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m.
