James Reece Cox, 78, of Benson, N.C., died Thursday, November 13, 2008, at his residence.
Born in Oconee County on September 3, 1930, he was the son of the late Fred E. and Missouri Austin Cox.
Mr. Cox was the brother of Irene C. Morris and Marguerite C. Mooney, both of Winder.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 16, at 2 p.m., at the Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, N.C., with Brother Mack Fowler, the Revs. Don Price and Billy Cashwell officiating. Burial will be in Harnett Devotional Gardens in Dunn. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society (Team 1 Relay for Life), P.O. Box 1544, Smithfield, N.C. 27577.
