Lila O’Kelley, 97, of Athens, died Thursday, November 6, 2008, at Quiet Oaks Nursing Home.
Born in Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley and Maggie Shelnut Duncan.
Mrs. O’Kelley was the mother of Sue and Billy Melton, JR and Peggy O. Smith, all of Hull, Jimmy Human, Royston, George O’Kelley and Johnny and Diane O’Kelley, all of Danielsville; and a sister, Lucy Prather, Hull.
Graveside services were held Saturday, November 8, at the Gordon’s Chapel United Methodist Church with Mr. Shannon O’Kelley officiating.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, Athens, was in charge of arrangements.
