Willie McCoy

Willie Roger McCoy, 75, of Inglis, Fla., formerly of Commerce, died Monday, November 10, 2008, at Cypress Cove Care Center in Crystal River, Fla.

Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Willie Thomas McCoy and Lucille McCoy Owensby. Mr. McCoy was preceded in death by children, Tim McCoy, Dana Bowman and Patricia Ann McCoy; and brothers, Wayne McCoy and Otis McCoy.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Miller McCoy, Inglis, Fla.; children, Deborah McCoy and Diane McCoy, both of Inglis, Fla., Pat Duncan, Ila, Donnie McCoy and Samantha McCoy, both of Homer; sisters, Delores Slater and Gloria Hart, both of Commerce, Margaret McDuffie, Homer; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 13, at 11:30 in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. Douglas Duncan officiating. Burial will be in the Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 12, from 7 to 9 p.m.
