Gerald Gordon Marchman, 71, of Nicholson, died Saturday, November 8, 2008, at his residence.

Born in Brewton, he was the son of the late Collins and Etta Marchman. He was a truck driver, and was a veteran, having served in the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Essie May Marchman, originally from Madison County; children, Gina, Daryl, Betty Jean, Glenn Jean, Jimmy Ray, David Lee and Conniel; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 15, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, Athens, is in charge of arrangements.
